A wheelie bin is an excellent breeding ground for bacteria. Over the course of a week, you will be depositing waste into your bin – food remnants, pet waste, soiled nappies, used tissues, papers and magazines, garden waste… the list goes on.
Even if you put your refuse in black sacks or carrier bags inside the bin, residue from any leakages can collect at the bottom of your wheelie bin, forming the perfect breeding ground for disease-causing bacteria.
A dirty wheelie bin can attract rats, cause offensive odours, become infested with flies and rapidly become a health hazard right outside your home or commercial premises!
It is, therefore, highly recommended that your wheelie bin is kept clean!
